PARANORMAL HORROR FLICK ‘STAY’ TO PREMIERE ON GŌSTBOX
GŌSTBOX has acquired world premiere rights to the indie horror film STAY. The supernaturally-obsessed streaming platform is part of an emerging movement in niche content delivery. As its name suggests, GŌSTBOX specializes in spectral-laced horror stories that you won’t find anywhere else. From haunted houses to demon possessions, GŌSTBOX is a digital portal to the paranormal.
“Scary stories are timeless. They put us in touch with our rawest emotions and bond us through our collective fears.”
- Alison Poulter, Director of Programming
First to arrive on the new platform is STAY, the micro-budget debut from writer/director Brandon Walker. A cautionary tale of ambition gone wrong, STAY blends the allure of America’s Next Top Model with the terror of Paranormal Activity. Ghost Machine Pictures’ official synopsis reads:
In the city that never sleeps, Olivia is taking the modeling world by storm. A cover girl in the making, Olivia is booking big clients and bringing her YouTube audience along for the ride. With newly earned cash, she moves into a fashionable loft apartment. Its glossy façade, however, conceals a sinister secret born years before. Suddenly overwrought, her tenuous grip on reality begins to slip away. Beautiful yet increasingly unstable, Olivia makes a shocking discovery that leads to a battle for her soul.
STAY stars Ashley Park (Rosewood), Jesse LeNoir (Project Runway), and Dre Davis (Pretty Little Liars). The film is the first offering from Ghost Machine Pictures in Los Angeles.
